Wow, where do I start?!?  Not only is the Louvre filled with the most beautiful art in the world, the buildings themselves are incredible!  To say its big is an understatement. Its 652,300 square feet. You could spend all day there and not see it all. Plus, many rooms have these painted ceilings with carvings and sculptures. Half the time I was looking straight up. Weds there are extended hours. We were there for about two hours earlier today and we are going back this evening for more. We also went to Notre Dame today. Magnificent! First church ever built in France almost 1000 years ago. They still have mass there, but open to the public to walk through all day.

The Mona Lisa left me underwhelmed. Its small and behind a glass wall. I’m glad I saw it, I mean, its the most famous painting in the world. Its just that I saw so many more that I thought were alot better. Here she is!

I took about 100 more pics here today. Will look for some more good ones and take more later. Also will post pics at Notre Dame later tonight. We are headed out the door for now.

Notre Dame was a little further than we wanted to walk, so we got this bike taxi guy to take us. He was funny, called us Americanos!
