When the metro dropped us off at the stop for Sacred Heart, we happened to be conveniently right next to the Moulin Rouge. Good photo opportunity.
A brisk walk uphill took us to painters square. These French people love to draw and paint.
I would have loved to buy one and bring it home, but no room in my suitcase.
Just beyond painters square is Sacred Heart. It sits on the only really big hill in Paris and you can see the whole city from the steps. They had a steady stream of people going in even though there was a mass going on when we walked in. The signs said no pictures inside so we had to be sneaky,
How about this view?
Notice the guy playing the harp on the steps. We saw alot of different street musicians here. Oh, and they will jump on the Metro too. One time these two guys from Spain jumped on and started playing the guitar and singing mariachi music. One guy did karaoke with this little speaker. He sang Hey Jude with this hysterical accent. Too funny!
